Not the zombie apocalypse

Well no not really; I'm just talking about how I got back into playing the Fallout series. You know most people talk about a zombie apocalypse and most people talk about Resident Evil or Left 4 Dead. I think Society would end up like in Fallout.

On a completely different note; I just cant think of any other game that allows me to have the amount of freedom you get in Fallout. You can kill just about anyone, you can steal from just about everyone, you can become a squatter, you can own a home, you can become addicted to drugs and suffer withdrawal symptoms, get radiation poisoning, eat just about anything you kill, make weapons from junk make your own drugs and medicine, ect... All this will completely affect you later in the game too.

You can do so much I suppose that it would be shorter to type out what you can't do. As far as I know you can't get married, you can't grow your own food (which would have been really be useful because it's a survival type game), you can't own stock or make your character dress in drag, you can't get arrested and you can't get sick. However you can die of starvation and sleep deprivation in Fallout New Vegas.

The game features futuristic technology, while making it look like a model 1950's city after being hit by an atomic bomb. To really entice the player though the game has artists such as Frank Sinatra, Roy Brown from the mid 1950's perfectly suiting the game.

Next time you want to live out your post apocalyptic fantasy play any of the Fallout games.

  4. I love Fallout! You should also try Borderlands. It's sort of a faster type of game with less story, but it's got that desolate wasteland feel and it's real fun to kill bitches :D

  5. Fallout is a good game, the idea behind the game is kinda crazy if you think about it and if it actually happened

  12. Seriously Fallout is such a great idea, but the game gets a little tedious after a while. Go here, get that, go back here....I want to play a game, not live in a virutal live simulator.

  15. I could never get into fallout, It's mostly because I always played it when all of my friends were playing online together and I felt left out.

  20. i love the fallout games, but they tend to absorb my life when i start playing them. i picked up New Vegas last saturday and have since put just shy of 50 hours into the game (college student on summer break, i have that kind of free time). i love some of the contradictions you can pull off too ( i steal everything i can, but am still a saint in game because i regularly kill powder gangers for positive karma). i do miss building weapons like in fallout 3 though
